AACC is a tenure-granting institution. Any candidate hired as a full-time faculty member may be eligible to apply for tenure in the future based on institutional eligibility requirements. This position requires regular in-person presence on campus or at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other assigned duties. Flexible teaching schedules may be available based on student needs. AACC offers daytime, evening, weekend, hybrid and online classes. Full-time faculty contracts begin on August 16 and end on June 15. This 10 month contract provides benefits over 12 months and the option of 12 month pay.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Business Management department is seeking two faculty members to join our dynamic team. A strong candidate will have experience teaching college-level business courses and professional experience in at least one of our areas of concentration (advertising/marketing, business communications, entrepreneurship, general management, human resources, small business management, supply chain management, or transportation/logistics). This is a 10-month position with a teaching load of 5 courses (15 faculty load hours) per fall and spring semester at our main campus in Arnold, MD and off-site locations as needed. In addition to instructional responsibilities, the faculty member will be expected to take an active role in curriculum development, assessment, outcome measurements, advising, special events and department/college/community service.

Duties
Primary responsibilities:
• 30 faculty load hours annual contract taught during Fall and Spring Terms – may include face-to-face, online, or hybrid instruction and instruction at off-site locations depending on student need • 6 office hours per week during the fall and spring semesters which may include student advising and mentoring • Teaching and assessing student learning • Professional development • Department, school, and college/community service
In addition to a faculty member’s primary responsibilities, the exceptional candidate will also demonstrate commitment and experience in one or more of the following areas: 1. Mentoring students from target groups; new full-time faculty; part-time faculty 2. Designing, formatting and delivering curriculum for all learning modalities 3. Training and consulting for workforce initiatives (e.g., for public and corporate partners, etc.) 4. Developing and implementing community education and extended learning programs 5. Partnering with colleagues to enhance services to students and the community 6. Recruiting and marketing 7. Devising retention strategies and activities 8. Strengthening relationships and collaborative activities including K-12 and baccalaureate-granting colleagues
Required Qualifications:
*Master's degree in business, administration, marketing, logistics, entrepreneurship or directly related field *Prior professional experience in one or more of the following fields: advertising, marketing, business communications, human resources management, office management, retail management, sales, small business management, general management, project management, or transportation/logistics/supply chain management
Preferred Qualifications:
*Three plus years of experience teaching introductory business courses at the college level or in a corporate training program *Experience in curriculum design/development and assessment *Demonstrated experience delivering instruction using project-based learning and high impact practices in various delivery modes *Familiarity with the Canvas Learning Management System *Experience providing business mentoring to aspiring entrepreneurs *Bilingual or other language proficiency
