We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate to join our Corporate Treasury team. This role is located in New York, NY (Hybrid).
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
The Senior Associate position is part of BNY Mellon's Corporate Treasury division. Successful candidates will partner within Corporate Treasury and with businesses throughout the company to deliver state-of-the-art analytical solutions to support liquidity strategies and framework.
Primary responsibilities include:
Preparation and coordination of liquidity risk related materials for various Board and Management Committees (e.g. ALCOs and Treasury/Business Risk Committees)
Support the review and calibration of Early Warning Indicators (EWIs) and Composite Financial Metrics (CFMs)
Provide support for all liquidity related aspects of the Enterprise-wide Risk Identification process
Supporting interactions with supervisory teams by drafting regulatory responses, supplying requested data, and explaining rationale behind any analytical assumptions
Leading and coordinate projects with multi-disciplinary teams across Corporate Treasury, Risk, and Finance, and the businesses; manage timelines for project deliverables and communicate status updates to stakeholders and senior management
Assisting in the implementation, creation, and communication of new documentation and reporting control standards across the organization
Liaise with Second and Third Line of Defense to address any open challenges and findings
Support on wider Treasury initiatives, regulatory presentations, training sessions and ad-hoc deliverables (e.g. Contingency Funding Plans, Liquidity Positioning, Analyzing Intracompany Exposures, Frictions, Liquidity Buffers, and HQLA Monetization)
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
Bachelor's degree preferably in economics, business analytics, information systems, or finance
At least two years of prior banking or other relevant experience
An advanced user of Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Strong quantitative skills; ability to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate insightful conclusions
Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to communicate technical subject matter clearly to individuals from various backgrounds
The ability to work under pressure and to succeed in an unstructured and changing environment
Preferred skills include the following:
Experience with or an openness to learn Python and/or SQL coding languages
Experience with or an openness to learn Tableau and/or PowerBI data visualization software
Strong background in finance/banking, and solid understanding of bank liquidity regulations including the Liquidity Coverage Ratio, Net Stable Funding Ratio
Process and project management skills are an asset

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $76,000 and $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
