This individual plays a key role planning, creating and publishing content related to marketing and communications projects. The director is responsible for the development of website, social content, marketing materials and executive education functions to advance the mission and goals of CTAM. The candidate will collaborate with staff stakeholders and also work with creative agencies, independent consultants, or vendors.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience writing content, planning, creating, executing, and optimizing content across digital platforms. They should have a demonstrable track record of developing engaging content (articles, blog posts, email, social media posts, etc.) and encompass extensive digital analytical skills to evaluate campaign KPIs and ROI results. Knowledge of SEO, keyword analysis, and content management systems such as WordPress are important.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop a content strategy and a clearly defined content roadmap to drive member engagement and value across CTAM channels: ctam.com, CTAM SmartBrief e-newsletter, email, and social
Collaborate with the Sr. Director and SVP, Marketing to contribute to the content production strategy for B2B site BusinessServicesConnect.com and B2C site StreamSafely.com and ensure that strategic objectives are met, identifying features that boost engagement and optimize performance
Perform extensive research to gain in-depth knowledge of all target personas to strategize content pillars and sub pillars for CTAM.com, BusinessServicesConnect.com and StreamSafely.com
Oversee writing style and tone for all content and plan the editorial calendar for marketing communications across email, social, SmartBrief and CTAM.com
Conduct periodic content audits, tracking and calculating content effectiveness and engagement impact
Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to align content development and execution schedules to ensure brand and message consistency across member communications
Work with creative agency to coordinate design and production of CTAM member-facing material such as membership communications, artwork, digital assets and on-site meeting branding
Collaborate with SmartMove.us content manager to generate operational efficiencies and coordinate performance-enhancing tactics related to BusinessServicesConnect.com and StreamSafely.com
Coordinate with CTAM supplier company members to identify content opportunities that are relevant for member consumption and can be amplified via CTAM.com, social, SmartBrief, webcasts
Organize executive education content by recommending topics and potential speakers, informed by industry trends, and act as primary liaison to speakers, responding in timely and courteous manner to manage speaker invitation and confirmation process, collecting essential assets for website posting (bio, photo, release info.), organize and communicate audio/visual requirements and related pre-event details among key stakeholders, if applicable
Arrange all related pre-event speaker calls, and manage applicable follow-up action items
Analyze content marketing campaign strategies, marketing tactics and content engagement to evaluate performance by tracking activity and publishing results in order to apply learning/improvements
Foster a culture of constructive feedback, creative stimulation and a safe space to try new ways of speaking to our members and website visitors
Inspire the team to try new ways of producing; find efficiencies in how we create content
Skills and Abilities Required:
Strong practical understanding of content writing and management, and experience in content production on multiple platforms, ideally within the media and entertainment industry
Experience working with SEM and SEO platforms, metatag strategies, social and email marketing as well as analytics platforms such as Google Analytics
Knowledge of WordPress or similar content management systems
Ability to work within a highly collaborative, matrix organization contributing hands-on work
Superior organizational skills including project planning, time management, and attention to detail, process management, and responsiveness to members and speakers
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Excellent writing skills, including creative, copy writing and proof-reading expertise
Working knowledge of PC systems and office software such as Windows, Microsoft Office, and an understanding of database programs is a plus
Ability to interact with staff and senior level member volunteers, as a professional representative of the organization
A desire to stay current with industry issues by reading trade press coverage and CTAM materials
