An Administrative Services Officer supports the department head in management of the administrative tasks of the department. The position will involve working closely with the School Fiscal Officer to manage the department's financial administration and compliance. Manage and/or reconcile credit card transactions. Act as the human resources liaison to manage employment transactions. Successful candidates must meet minimum qualifications of either of the following positions.
Administrative Services Officer I position information:
· FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
· Salary Grade: 10
· Salary Range: $50,000 – $55,000 depending on experience.
Administrative Services Officer II position information:
· FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
· Salary Grade: 11
· Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000 depending on experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Administrative Services Officer I Bachelor's degree and seven years of experience in a job at or above the level of Administrative Assistant or the equivalent combination of relevant education and experience; two of these years must be in a position with unit-wide scope.
Administrative Services Officer II Bachelor's degree and nine years of office administration or project management experience including two years at the Administrative Services Officer I level and two years of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Affairs, or other related field, and/or equivalent experience with accounting, grants and/or human resources is desired. Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent customer service; attention to detail; and proven ability to initiate and manage priorities to meet deadlines. An ability to adapt to change and experience working in an academic unit.
