The purpose of this class is to assume responsibility for general management functions of CCBC Institutional Repository and participate in the processing and use of the college's archives and special collections.

Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as sociology, anthropology, history, library science, computer science preferred and one (1) year of full time experience working with collections, exhibits and/or customers in a library, archives, or cultural heritage organization. Knowledge of archival and library description standards, including DACS, EAD, MARC, and LC. 

Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field.  Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.  

1. Manage and direct the operations of the CCBC Institutional Repository. 
2. Assist in the digitization of resources from archives and special collections.
3. Train, supervise, and evaluate part-time staff, volunteers, and interns. 
4. Direct the development and maintenance of all departmental records and reports.
5. Develop and administer departmental policies and procedures.
6. Develop budget projections for department or division, as required.
7. Oversee, monitor, and/or control appropriations and expenditures, as required.
8. Coordinate with internal departments, such as the Galleries and the Grants Office, to find new opportunities to communicate and enhance repository holdings.
9. Coordinate community outreach with external organizations to find new opportunities to communicate and enhance repository holdings.
