CIS219 - Computer Programming 1 (4 Cr. Hrs.) - Introduces computer concepts and programming in a modern, high-level language with a focus on problem solving and systematic program development. Topics include problem analysis, algorithm design, top-down development, program testing, documentation, data types, input/output, sequence, selection, loops, functions, arrays, strings, files, and data structures. Additionally, students are introduced to basic algorithms such as sorting and searching.
CIS221 - Computer Programming 2 (4 Cr. Hrs.) - A continuation of CIS219. Demonstrates advanced computing system concepts, problem solving and systematic program development. Topics include program development, program testing, documentation, functions, files, advanced data structures, and object-oriented concepts such as inheritance, polymorphism, exception handling, and event driven programming. Additional topics may include but are not limited to: database programming, networking, GUI development, recursion, lists, stacks, queues and trees.

Job Requirements:
Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or related subject area. Experience in Java programming is required.
