Reporting to the Assistant Director of Communications, the Web Manager is responsible for maintaining the PGCC.edu website, including managing SEO optimization plus third-party tools for integration and monitoring. Leads the execution of internal and external day-to-day web initiatives, ensuring that all content is updated, accurate, and in alignment with the College's brand standards. Leads the execution of day-to-day and long-term content management. In addition to writing, editing, and proofing online content, this position supervises technical staff and manages multiple digital assets. The individual provides leadership and guidance to the web team. This position supervises the front-end developer and senior web writer staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATIONANDEXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in web design, web development, or related field
Three years full-time or equivalent experience in web design, web development, or related fields.
Two years of supervisory experience or leading a web team within the web development area.
Experience facilitating goals and ensuring positive outcomes.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLSANDABILITIES
Proficient in Terminalfour CMS and third-party tools to perform maximum operational effectiveness.
Strong blend of writing, web development, and technical CMS skills.
Must be able to train, supervise, and coach staff members like front-end developers and senior web writers.
Must be able to lead staff and lead cross-functional teams.
Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills are required.
Timeliness and attention to detail is a must.
Hands-on experience with Terminalfour, WordPress, or Drupal.
Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing.
Knowledgeable in SEO and web traffic metrics.
Proven ability to convert information into attractive and easy-to-consume content.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Excellent writing skills.
Ability to adapt to changes as they occur.
Ability to develop and deliver verbal presentations.
Ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the institution.
Proven knowledge of using a content management system to create, change, and update information on an institution's website.
