The departments of Cinema & Media Arts (CMA) and Communication Studies (CMST) at Vanderbilt University seek a jointly appointed scholar at the rank of Assistant Professor, on the tenure-track, beginning Fall 2024.
The successful candidate should possess an emerging scholarly profile in the humanistic study of digital media rhetorics and aesthetics, with an emphasis on identity, difference, and power. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Communication Studies, Media Studies, or a related field, in hand no later than August 1, 2024, a scholarly record appropriate to a tenure-track appointment at a research-intensive university and demonstrated excellence in teaching. Screening of applicants will begin on October 9, 2023 and will continue until the position is filled. The search committee will be chaired by Jeff Bennett (CMST) and Claire Sisco King (CMA).
