The Liquidity Management Services business continues to be one of the key focus areas within Citi and we offer a full suite of liquidity products and solutions to help our clients to meet their liquidity and treasury KPIs. Asia LMS business generates over $2Billion in revenues and manages over $160Billion of onshore and offshore client deposits. Hence, in line with the strategic growth opportunities with our clients in Asia, we are looking for the right candidate who has an aspiration to take his/her career to the next level to fill the critical and exciting role within the Regional Liquidity Product team in APAC.
The Regional Liquidity Management Services Product Manager role is a senior leader within the Deposit & Investment Product group and will have an excellent opportunity to gain exposures not only in product management but also client solutioning as well as balance sheet management. The individual is expected to lead, develop, drive and execute product strategy that meets market and client requirements. The individual will be responsible to drive and grow the P&L of Citi Interest Optimization (CIO) and lead the Earnings Credit Rate (ECR) rollout, which are two strategic products within the Global Deposit and Investments (D&I) product pillar. In addition, the individual will also be able to participate in client meetings as a subject matter expert to craft appropriate liquidity solutions for clients. The individual will be responsible to drive the Balance Sheet deposit revenues and initiatives across countries, currencies, client segments and maximizing behavioral elasticity.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Partners across product disciplines, assists in managing the overall performance of CIO & ECR product suites and monitors performance drivers for the products and portfolios.
Overall responsibility for all aspects of strategy, development, execution, adoption and commercialization of CIO & ECR. Analyzes vertical/product specific P&L's to ensure goals are being met.
This position enables the individual to mentor and coach Country Product team members to support ongoing performance and maintenance of the said product/platform, including client experience, pricing, risk and distribution.
Lead cross-functional teams, including product development, technology, operations, legal, implementations, and digital specialists for CIO & ECR product rollout/enhancements & automation.
Partners across product disciplines, assists in managing the overall performance of a given D&I product suite and monitors performance drivers for the products and portfolios.
Drive Balance Sheet Deposit Revenue Drivers namely budgeting and planning for the LMS business across $160Bn of deposits.
Lead key one-off Balance Sheet initiatives - Episodic and market changes based on Citi guidance and execution plans.
Provide client level Balance Sheet analytics and execution by working with front end teams.
Work closely with Balance Sheet Group within LMS, and collaborate with sales/ coverage to achieve deposit target and optimization objectives.
Review CRM pipelines and wins to ensure speedy conversion to wins and implementation.
Continuous pricing/solution review with product specialists and sales to refine pricing on client segments.
Work with digitization specialists to ensure homogenous and best in class client experiences is delivered as part of CIO STP.
Work with Global Product partners and Product Development teams to manage the CIO & ECR Capex budget cycle, prioritize development needs and expansion strategy.
Establish and Implement performance improvement strategies, with a specific focus on cross-sell and integration, including the development of competitive analyses, market analyses, product development road maps, market plans, pricing strategies and product line extensions.
Assists sales and relationship managers in building skills needed to identify client needs, and proposes solutions in line with business objectives.
Gathers market intelligence and develops market sizing studies and models to identify the attractiveness of particular markets segments and product offerings. Defines and analyzes sector trends, opportunities and issues
Represent customer needs and provide strategic direction on product development features, functionality and overall competitiveness
Partners closely with sales teams to identify client opportunities and with the client management organization to meet with prospective clients and to size new opportunities
Builds consensus and awareness of value proposition throughout the organization and key partners
Responsible for securing all necessary Product Approval Program & internal governance approvals for CIO enhancements & ECR rollout from key stakeholders such as risk, legal, compliance and controls. This will also require close collaboration with partners such as operations and implementations to establish Target Operating models.
Refines and produces sector-specific marketing material that will arm sales force with the tools necessary to grow Citi's business.
Manages product and balance sheet risk and control, consent orders, documentation, credit, legal and regulatory risk, and manage transactional P&L through business drivers, and profitability ratios.
Involved in coaching and training of new recruits and mentor other team members.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience
Level of expertise and demonstrated experience in Product Management and/or Product Development discipline
Experience in and understanding of logistics or Industrial verticals experience with e-commerce solutions
Ability to make complex judgments and provide solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives
In-depth quantitative or qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop new, innovative solutions
Ability to apply ingenuity and creativity to problem analysis and resolution in complicated and/or novel situations
Developed diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers
Experience with and confidence in delivering presentations to clients and senior managers
