We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong digital background to join our Communications and Marketing team. We're looking for a Digital Communications & Marketing Manager who will manage integrated marketing campaigns and projects and help oversee the Stanford Graduate School of Business social media presence, including producing content for a variety of platforms and channels. In this role, you will develop, implement, and execute marketing programs that support school initiatives. You will also work closely with others to develop and execute social media efforts to support our overall communications strategy.
A successful candidate will have a passion for brand and a deep understanding of the social media landscape with a proven-track record of planning, delivering and reporting on a range of social media campaigns, across various social platforms. They should be a multi-tasker, creative thinker, a problem solver, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative culture. They should be well versed in managing cross functional teams to lead and execute large-scale campaigns. They will have experience managing social media channels and communities, be organized, and have excellent judgment and the ability to understand complex and varied audience perspectives.
This position is a 2-year fixed term.
Your primary responsibilities include*:
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define, launch, and manage integrated marketing and communications plans in alignment with strategic priorites of the school.
Implement and manage integrated marketing projects across a variety of channels (i.e. social media, web, PR)
Recommend and execute marketing strategies to meet business objectives
Provide thought leadership and guidance for social media best practices such as content publishing guidelines, KPI benchmarks, and channel growth strategies
Create platform/channel-appropriate content for social media, including attending events, in the moment photography and videography, writing, and production of social stories, videos, photo essays, takeovers and more; Work with contractors or agencies as needed.
Foster strong relationships with teammates and stakeholders, ensuring seamless alignment
Monitor and measure integrated campaign success, provide insightful reports on campaign outcomes, highlighting successes, identifying challenges, and proposing actionable recommendations
Analyze reach and engagement metrics to continually improve the social media program. Assess market opportunities and track market trends. Recommend improvements based on findings.
Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels
May oversee interns and other contingent staff
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
Previous experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
Knowledge of the web, technology, social platforms, current and future trends
Excellent social media management and writing skills
Ability to interact effectively with senior staff and other members of the academic community
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
Deep understanding of and passion for brand
Demonstrated interest in research and academia-based content
Photography and video expertise is strongly desired.
Expertise in social media
Minimum education, experience, and KSA requirements:
Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Previous experience in product, program and/or services marketing.
Ability to drive cross-functional groups toward a common goal.
Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Understands how to implement integrated marketing programs across channels including digital and print.
Experience with market research and data analysis.
Demonstrated problem solver.
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
The expected pay range for this position is $76,000 to $130,000 per year.
