Our digital learning department spends dedicated time with faculty to develop digital courses that optimize student learning. With our Flex MBA classes and BA undergraduate online offerings, we are changing how our students take digital courses. Our digital learning team focuses on three overarching course design goals: creating synergies for minimizing transactional distance, incorporating diverse and inclusive opportunities for learning connections and designing active digital learning experiences. Design and create various innovative, high-impact multimedia learning experiences for students, ranging from podcasts to virtual reality. Collaborate with faculty and staff to produce media that promotes engaged learning and effective teaching practices. Aptitude to film, edit, and publish multimedia content needed for these experiences. Design instructional multimedia assets with faculty and staff to optimize multimedia learning techniques for instructional purposes. Offers audio and video technology expertise to facilitate the design of studio spaces that promote pedagogically sound synchronous virtual instruction. Advise and assist Merage faculty in effectively utilizing software and hardware for teaching within the synchronous virtual classroom. This includes, but is not limited to, designing and consulting on the classroom's continuous pedagogical and technical configuration to meet school needs, ensuring the virtual classroom is running effectively for instructional purposes, and supporting the successful delivery of live virtual classes.

Required:
Three or more years of professional experience in digital course design and delivery using instructional design, multimedia design/production, and/or learning experience design practices preferably in higher education.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Thorough knowledge of functional area and understands how work within one course may impact work being done on other courses or in other areas. Thorough analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills. Strong analytical, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and strong collaboration and negotiation skills. Thorough knowledge of instructional design principles and learning strategies, including needs analysis, backward design, learning outcomes and assessment design, and instructional approaches including lecture, discussion, activities, projects, etc. Thorough knowledge of the technical tools and platforms required to achieve the delivery of engaging and media-rich online learning content, and of trends in the use and effectiveness of educational technology and learning. Thorough knowledge and skills with relevant business software systems. Thorough knowledge of applying adult learning theories and educational methodologies. Thorough knowledge of e-learning strategies including but not limited to courses (e.g., processes and technologies, etc.). Advanced level skills in project management and the application of planning, resourcing and monitoring of effective design life cycles of training and other learning and performance solutions to support the organization. Knowledge to conduct appropriate job and task analyses in the context of instructional design of technical or specialized training. Understanding of FERPA and copyright guidelines for the classroom (i.e. Fair Use, the TEACH Act, etc.) Working knowledge with professional eLearning multimedia and video production processes and associated editing software tools (i.e. Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Camtasia Studio). Working knowledge with the Adobe Suite (i.e., Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design). Thorough knowledge using synchronous session platforms for instructional purposes (i.e., Zoom and/or WeConnect, etc.).
Preferred:
MBA degree and/or a Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field completed or in progress.
Thorough knowledge of organization policies and procedures, including policies that impact course development and delivery for a variety of digital teaching modalities. Professional coursework or training in instructional design, educational technology, multimedia design/production, and/or related field. Demonstrated knowledge of quality online course frameworks, learning data analytics, analysis, and metrics reporting. Demonstrated experiencing producing courses using eLearning tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, SnagIt, etc. Understanding of business school curricula such as accounting, finance, economics, strategy, management information systems, decision sciences, marketing, and organizational behavior. Experience building learning experiences using Learning Management Systems (i.e., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, etc.)
Special Conditions Required:
Working Hours: Working hours will vary based on instructional need. This will include some work shifts outside of normal business hours (late evenings and/or weekends) to support direct instruction. This is a hybrid work position, but work conducted on campus will be dictated by instructional need.
