Overview
Manage multiple long and short-term planning projects for the University's Academic, Residential, and Administrative Units in development of and in accordance with the University's Strategic Planning Initiative and Space Planning and Design and Construction Guidelines. Support the full range of campus planning functions including developing program statements for University clients, creating test fits and architectural diagrams for different planning scenarios, assessing client requests, and coordinating cost estimates and schedules.
Responsibilities
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree In Architecture, Urban Planning, or related field
Preferred Education: Master's Degree Advanced degree Architecture, Urban Planning, or related field.
Required Experience: 5+ years 5 years' experience in Architecture, Urban Planning or a related field as a Project Manager, with experience in developing and coordinating space planning and feasibility studies; experience managing large institutional projects involving multiple clients and consultants.
Preferred Experience: Design experience in a University, large institutional or corporate planning setting. Experience with interior layouts and office planning.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Proficiency in AutoCAD. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to plan and manage a variety of long term projects, control costs and meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively utilizing problem solving and negotiating skills with senior management and design team.Knowledge of NYC building,,zoning and other regulatory codes.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: NYS Registered Architect. Knowledge of design practice and principles. Excellent client management skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate policies and processes to a diverse population is highly preferred.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $77,388.33 to USD $117,388.33. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
