Maintains, monitors, and coordinates Corporate Capital Project Approval Process for System Planning departments by providing a centralized processing function for all project planning documentation thereby assuring a consistent, accurate, and timely work product. Leverage data analytics/visualization tools, business intelligence, database query development (Microsoft Power BI, Access, etc.) in the analysis of capital project data to deliver insights on project performance in support of overall efficiency in the release of capital construction projects. System Administrator of Transmission Projects Operation Plan software and database. Coordinates all project requests between GTC and the other Transmission Owners within the state of Georgia. Creates and maintains System Planning working files used for project tracking, communication of project release-related performance, and Department goal reporting. Organizes and develops annual System Planning deliverables in support of the Corporate Construction Work Plan, reporting of capital project investment forecasts and actuals, and capital construction budget. Develop risk mitigation action plans to correct negative trends in project release milestones.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: B.S. in Engineering (Industrial is preferred) or Project Management. Business Analytic-related bachelors and masters degrees will also be considered.
Experience: Level I: None
Level II: Eighteen months project controls, project planning, or business analytics capacity.
Equivalent Experience: A mixture of education and experience will be considered.
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:
Project Management Professional (PMP) or AACE Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) are applicable but not required.
Must be able to quickly gain proficiency in managing project planning databases. Must have strong interpersonal & communication skills. Must be proficient with the MS Office Professional Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). Experience with relational databases (Access) and data analytic software (Power BI) is also preferred. Must have strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving capabilities and must be able to manage multiple simultaneous tasks.
