We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Treasury and ALM to join our Pershing Treasury team. This role is located in Jersey City, NJ - HYBRID or Lake Mary, Florida.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
Direct the activities of the Pershing Treasury cash management team overseeing the timely and efficient funding of firm requirements, while ensuring adherence to departmental procedures.
Manages relationships with Pershing LLC's third-party cash correspondent bank network, including fee management and compliance with third-party governance policies.
Interfaces with internal and external stakeholders on bank network matters including activity, controls, intraday funding, credit facilities and margin requirements.
Identifies opportunities to enhance cash management operations and reporting.
Accountable for departmental policy monitoring and compliance with firm-wide policies.
Manages the production of reporting for senior management and governance committee processes.
Ensures compliance with internal and regulatory risk limits for assigned legal entities/ region and escalates any issues to senior management.
Develops and coordinates departmental and cross-functional initiatives in a high-paced, highly regulated environment.
Project lead over special projects and ad-hoc analyses/reporting, engaging peers across the Bank and providing task oversight.
Provides technical guidance to less experienced team members on complex issues.
Proactively communicates status of items internally to management.
Consults on ALM matters such as Intraday Liquidity, Deposit Liabilities, Currency Risk, Capital Management and Planning. May provide advice on specific business decisions that will affect funding, liquidity, capital or interest rate risk
Continues to build knowledge spanning the range of treasury functions and across the organization and its varied products/services.
Cultivates relationships with peers in the businesses, Operations, Regulatory Reporting, Risk Management, Finance and Corporate Treasury to ensure a holistic approach to managing the firm's financial position.
Monitors the regulatory environment, conducts applicable research and makes recommendations for responding to emerging/changing regulatory requirements affecting ALM, Capital or Liquidity Funding.
5 to 6 direct reports. Provides leadership to less experienced team members, guiding and coaching them on development and their work accuracy and quality.
Drives the achievement of functional objectives. Advice has direct impact on the risk or financial position of the entity(ies) supported.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
FINRA Series 24, 27 or 99 license preferred
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Degree in math, engineering, statistics, computational finance or economics preferred.
10-12 years of total work experience preferred.
Experience with cash management, liquidity risk management, bank relationship management, project management within large complex financial organizations preferred.
