Job Summary:
The OD2A-KY Evaluation Project Director will be responsible for the comprehensive evaluation of the overall project and all nine program strategies across the Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) grant and overall center evaluation at the Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center (KIPRC). This position will work with internal and external stakeholders to identify evaluation purposes and needs, and meet regularly with principal investigators and project managers on the overall KIPRC and OD2A-KY project and nine funded OD2A-KY program strategy activities to assess evaluation progress.
The evaluator will determine and justify appropriate methods to answer evaluation questions (e.g. quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods) and develop and conduct literature reviews, in-depth interviews, focus groups, survey design and administration, site visits, data management, data analysis, and report writing. This will include preparing manuscripts, reports, and presentations based on evaluation study results and documenting overall and individual program strategy evaluation processes and products.
The evaluator will collaborate with Principal Investigators and program managers and staff on overall KIPRC and OD2A project and individual strategy program evaluation reports to CDC, University of Kentucky Vice President for Research, and other stakeholders on evaluation findings.

Skills /Knowledge/Abilities:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and evaluation software (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, NVivo) is essential. Proficiency in SPSS, SAS or other statistical software is required. Knowledge of evaluation theories and principles is preferred in order to formulate hypotheses regarding health status and health outcomes and to conduct analyses and interpret data.

Preferred Education/Experience:
Master's degree in education, public health, sociology, industrial psychology, public administrations, or another related field.
At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the field of research and/or evaluation is required.
