Summary of Duties:
The Range Community Clinic Information Systems Coordinator will join Range Community Clinic to be part of a world class interdisciplinary patient care team. This multidisciplinary team includes outstanding physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other allied health professionals to provide the best patient care and education possible.
We are seeking a highly professional and skilled individual to design, implement, train and provide ongoing support and development of all information systems and technology tools utilized by RCC in the multi-specialty clinic environment. Perform needs assessment, solicit feedback, problem resolution, project coordination and development and/or the delivery of training on a range of complex applications. The position will implement multiple Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, create and maintain interfaces with pharmacies, state databases and laboratories ensuring compliance with all state and federal requirements. The role will liaison across all RCC units, multiple College of Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy teams, WSU Spokane IT and Centralized WSU IT units, and multiple external technology partners.
The Information Systems Coordinator is an integral role in the functionality and success of all aspects of RCC, leading to services to the community, experiences for students, clinical practice for the faculty, and revenue generating opportunity for the clinic and university. Currently there are 4 independently operating clinics with potential for expansion, including the Student Health Clinic for Spokane Health Science students, Speech and Hearing Science Clinic which provides services to the community and enables students to gain practical experience, the Autism Spectrum Disorder and Neurodevelopment Center of Excellence which provides community service in a unique interdisciplinary environment and Mobile Health Unit patient services.
Range is also continuing to do periodic mobile outreach events such as sports physical days and vaccination/immunization clinics. The information systems coordinator will maintain the electronic/computer systems, (including EHR and interfaces), and network security and connectivity.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree and three (3) years professional experience OR a combination of education and experience totaling seven (7) years from which comparable knowledge and abilities are acquired. Education and experience may be tailored to specific need requirements of position.
Additional Requirements:
Experience working with Electronic Healthcare Records systems.
Previous implementation or optimization experience with EHRs and practice management software, preferably with Athena EHR and/or ClinicNote EHR.
Demonstrated experience managing and/or supporting automated health information systems.
Experience establishing and providing ongoing support for internal systems to interface with external systems.
Demonstrated experience in the application of established principles, methods and practices, and concepts and techniques of medical records administration.
Demonstrated experience performing due diligence, gap analysis, and risk assessments.
Demonstrated experience developing reports, automation, data visualization and analysis utilizing EHR, Excel, Power BI and/or other tools.
Ability to use and operate office technology equipment; skilled with Microsoft Office applications with the ability to develop templates and tools.
Ability to work independently, ensuring effective use of time including prioritization and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and follow instructions given by healthcare professionals.
Must be able to interact with client personnel and health care team members in a responsible, professional, and ethical manner, including exceptional interpersonal skills to support and reassure pediatric patients and their families.
Working knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field.
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Professional Biller (CPB), Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) certifications.
Specialty certifications related to Athena EHR and/or ClinicNote EHR.
Monthly Salary: Minimum: $4,508.70, Midpoint: $5,635.88, Maximum: $6,199.47; commensurate with qualifications and experience. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range.
