General Statement of Job
This position provides support to the Plaster School of Business (PSB) academic unit, including faculty, staff, and students. In addition to various administrative duties, the position will assist faculty, with the creation, management, and distribution of marketing materials, in collaboration and coordination with University Relations and Marketing (URM) in digital and face-to-face formats and will serve as a representative of the PSB in forward-facing student recruitment activities on and off campus.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties:
Assist with the development, maintenance, and updating of marketing materials for the PSB (in coordination with URM) including, but not limited to:
- PSB Graduate Programs
- PSB Undergraduate Programs
- Student engagement events on campus and in the PSB
- Academic events on campus and in the PSB
- Academic calendar (first day, breaks, drop/add timeline, final exams, etc.)
- Academic advising information including registration timelines and other enrollment information
- Student wellness events/information on campus and in the PSB
Distribute marketing materials and other communications to students as requested.
Assist with the creation, distribution, and maintenance of relevant, engaging, and timely PSB digital marketing (website, social media, building tv's etc.).
Represent or accompany PSB faculty and/or university staff to local high schools, community colleges, universities, career and college fairs, and other recruiting events as requested and appropriate.
Represent the PSB at on-campus Admissions, Student Success Center - Career Services Unit and Student Success Center - Advising Unit sponsored events.
Organize and manage events hosted by the PSB, including, but not limited to:
- Making reservations
- Arranging for catering as appropriate
- Creating and distributing invites
- Receiving and processing invoices
- Setup and take-down of event materials/decorations
Other Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and provide specific information, reports, and/or special services as requested or required by the University, PSB faculty and/or the Dean.
- Answer phone calls and email
- Take departmental minutes as needed
- Order and maintain supplies
- Code Invoices
- Balance P-Card Statement
- Maintain breakroom
- Maintain workroom
- Assist faculty with other duties as requested
Education, Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required (Master's degree is preferred).
Minimum of two years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver's license and the ability to meet insurance requirements for driving University owned, leased, or rented vehicles.

- Requires the ability to make recommendations that influence the budget.
- Requires the ability to use small office equipment, including copy machines or multi-line telephone systems.
- Requires the ability to meet deadlines, maintain the highest level of confidentiality and work in a positive team-oriented manner with a variety of people (students, faculty, staff, administrators and members of the public).
