University of Michigan Medical School, Medical School Facilities, invites applications for the position of Project Associate Manager. We are seeking a customer focused, team-oriented person who will be responsible for coordinating small construction projects and facilities moves/adds/changes across our research, education, and administrative facilities. Medical School Facilities is responsible for 46 buildings located at the North Campus Research Complex and the Medical Center, totaling nearly 4 million gross square feet of space.
This position reports to the Senior Project Manager, Workplace Services, Medical School Facilities (MSF).
Responsible for the management, performance, and completion of projects under direct supervision.
Responsible for classroom and conference room scheduling and facilities support, utilizing MM Software for scheduling, communications, and closures.
Under supervision, execute construction, move coordination, and furniture and equipment modifications for small projects or phases of a larger project within office/administrative, education and laboratory spaces.
Responsible for signage projects including room signage, wayfinding and directory maintenance.
Acts as the single point of contact and customer liaison, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout project activities.
Assures that project goals, scope and outcomes are aligned with, and support, the strategic direction of the Medical School.
Responsible for coordination of various partners, including maintenance and skilled trades.
Facilitates project kick-off meetings with internal staff and key stakeholders to ensure responsibilities are communicated and understood by all parties.
Provides review of project documents and estimates provided by vendors or partners on needed services to complete a project and assures it meets MSF?s building finishes, furniture, and signage standards and that scope, schedule and budget are aligned with overall project expectations.
Utilizes the Customer Service Help Center ticketing system to respond to service requests. Prepares project reports, maintains assigned tickets and communications.
Delivers move labels or move instructions to customers.
Provides support to other facilities project team members as required.
Participates in MSF goal setting and initiative development

Bachelor's Degree
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
Graphic design experience
Minimum of 2 years of project management experience.
