Under minimal supervision, the Program Manager for the Institute for Experiential Robotics will provide administrative support and marketing and communications on behalf of the Director and Executive Director. They will oversee daily operations of the office, evaluating workflow and productivity; Produces and drafts reports and other complex documents and materials for distribution on behalf of the Director and Executive Director, including proofreading and editing, and designing layout and graphics for presentations, including weekly updates and monthly newlsetter. They will plan and coordinate meetings and special events, including contacting speakers, designing promotional material and coordinating support for speakers and presenters.
The Program Manager will work with the Director and Executive Director to develop marketing and communications strategy for the Institute, carrying out that strategy, and quantifying efforts through basic marketing analytics. The Program manager will lead the production of marketing efforts. They will collaborate on joint initiatives and coordinate marketing efforts with the College of Engineering (COE) marketing and communications team, as well as Northeastern University's marketing and communications department. The Program Manager may be asked to supervise work study students from the College of Arts and Media Design, who assist with graphic design and photography.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree
2-5 years of Higher Education experience
Excellent writing and editing skills that engage readers and stakeholders across web and social media platforms. | Excellent creative, conceptual and technical troubleshooting skills, leading to effective problem solving. | Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to work with multiple projects simultaneously, tight schedules, deadlines and budgets, and the capacity to succeed in an environment of rapidly moving and changing priorities.
They will be self-starters who enjoy providing administrative support to dynamic and complex groups of faculty, students, and staff.
Must be flexible, enthusiastic, open to and energized by change.
