Position Information
Per the awarded NRT Project, UCR's Plants3D graduate training program seeks an individual to coordinate the program activities. The individual will work with the Director, the faculty Leadership team, and other individuals on and off campus to meet the program goals. This program, funded by the National Science Foundation, seeks to provide an exciting education and training environment for graduate students in science and engineering. Plants3D fosters team research projects that address challenges in agriculture and human health. The Program Coordinator will be engaged in the organization of program activities, including a variety of events and educational opportunities, student internships and travel, research competitions, program evaluation and annual reporting, and the program website, https://plants3d.ucr.edu/. Finalists will be required to submit a work sample as part of the selection process.

The full salary range for the Program Coordinator is $63,558.72 to $101,602.085 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $65,000.00 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

Requirement 2-4 years of related experience in a related job discipline or doctoral degree program. Required Collaborative experience, ideally within a group with diverse backgrounds and expertise. Required Experience in planning and data collection. Preferred Work experience in an institution of higher education. Preferred Demonstrated experience with web-site maintenance and/or design. Preferred

Knowledge of MSWord or Google platforms for writing, data analysis, and presentations.
Ability to solve problems using investigative/research and analytical reasoning.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of faculty, students, staff, outside speakers and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
Demonstrated skill in MS Office including advanced knowledge of Excel features.


Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.

Working knowledge of UC policies and procedures.

Working knowledge of computer application WordPress.

Demonstrated strategic leadership and project management skills.
