Department Overview:
Digital Solutions builds automation, analytics and artificial intelligence solutions that drive success for Cardinal Health by creating material savings, efficiencies and revenue growth opportunities. The team drives business innovation by leveraging emerging technologies and turning them into differentiating business capabilities.
Job Overview:
Designing, building, and operationalizing large-scale enterprise Business Intelligence platforms and applications using at least two or more technologies like SAP Business Objects, Tableau and Alteryx in both Windows and Linux OS.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement and support platform administration including Infrastructure Builds and Maintenance, performance testing, and maintain application availability in 2 or more technologies like SAP Business Objects, Tableau and Alteryx
Provide infrastructure and platform sizing for projects, including hardware and software
Administer and support a multi-tier Tableau infrastructure create and manage groups, workbooks and projects, database views, data sources and data connections.
Designing and building CI CD pipelines for content migration using Java, dataflow, Python, airflow etc.
Gather requirements, implement, and support multi node server installations
Work with teams to monitor, tune and optimize performance (system and application)
Ensure technical specifications are aligned with both business needs and technical design standards
Partner with external consultants, solution providers, and managed services organizations to enable product/solution development as well as meeting documented standards
Interact with multiple organizations to track project progress, identify risks, communicate risks and status to leadership, and to assess potential impacts to the business.
Generate ideas and suggestions for process and technical improvements for platforms and processes supported by the team
Ensure platforms and tools meet or exceed data security standards, including internal and external audits performed
Willingness to adapt to new technologies, perform POCs based on company road map.
Use strong verbal and written communication skills that non-technical business and end-users can understand.
Develop best practices for solution and tool frameworks, leveraging standard naming conventions, scripting, and coding practices to ensure consistency of data solution.
Mentor and guide junior engineers.
Lead and architect BI Solutions.
Qualifications:
Required
Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence technologies like SAP Business Objects and Tableau
Advanced experience in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, etc
Hands-on experience architecting and designing Business Intelligence platforms in GCP/AWS cloud
Familiarity in Programming languages Python, Java, and frameworks- Spring Boot, Spring MVC, REST API development expertise.
Preferred. The following are not required but a plus
Architecture and engineering experience in Data Analytics/Reporting and Data Visualization tools.
Hands-on GCP experience in products like Compute Engine, IAM and APIs
Hands-on experience architecting and designing Business Intelligence platforms in GCP/AWS cloud
Prior experience in Collibra and Atscale.
Agile development skills and experience.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Concourse, Jenkins.
Google Cloud Platform or any BI tool administration certification is a plus
