Weâ™re seeking a Content Specialist who will write content for the Princeton Alumni website and print materials, in support of University Advancementâ™s alumni engagement and fundraising goals. This role is responsible for researching, writing, copyediting, and proofreading a range of materials aimed at alumni donors and volunteers and acts as a subject matter expert in University alumni engagement, philanthropic support, alumni and donor storytelling, and editorial grammar and style.
In this position on the Advancement Communications content team, you will work closely with multiple, cross-functional teams of colleagues within Advancement to translate the Universityâ™s Advancement mission and goals into relevant content. You will develop thoughtful stories and alumni and donor profiles and create content for websites, publications, and events to highlight alumni engagement and volunteer and philanthropic support of the University. Youâ™ll also enjoy doing research and interviews with Princeton alumni and friends to inform writing and imagery for stories and content.
In collaboration with the Director, Content as well as Advancement Communications colleagues on the content, design and multimedia teams, you will work closely with colleagues in all Advancement teams to create marketing and communications materials that allow for alumni connection, giving, and engagement.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Develop thoughtful stories and alumni and donor profiles and creates content for websites, publications, and events to highlight alumni engagement.
Conduct research and interviews with alumni to inform writing and imagery for stories and content.
Edit and proofread content to ensure consistent messaging and adherence to style and editorial guidelines. Develop and maintain the style guide for Advancement, documenting editorial, grammatical and stylistic guidelines.
Acts as a subject matter expert in alumni engagement, philanthropic support, alumni and donor storytelling, and editorial grammar and style.
Work closely with colleagues in all Advancement teams to create marketing and communications materials that allow for alumni connection, giving, and engagement
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelorâ™s degree and 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a creative agency or higher education setting
Excellent writing ability and editorial skills
Portfolio of high-quality published material
Strong time and project management skills, with the ability to multitask on a demanding schedule
An ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in Advancement, campus partners, and alumni and donors
Strong interpersonal skills when communicating with individuals and groups
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
