Baylor University is seeking an Assistant Director of Cloud Infrastructure and Systems Operations to support the mission of the University at the ITS Server Operations.
A bachelor's degree, 0-3 years of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A master's degree and five years of relevant work experience are preferred. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Responsible for providing management and support of current and future enterprise infrastructure needs including - Server, Storage, Network, security, endpoints, collaboration, and Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
Design and Configure Cloud infrastructures related to the Microsoft Office 365 platform, Azure and to support Cloud migrations and transformation initiatives
Directs and optimizes all the operation of servers and systems.
Provides timely, accurate, and consistent technical infrastructure service and presentation to internal and external clients.
Develop, maintain, and report on university server roadmap
Perform required supervisory and section management duties. (job assignment, resource coordination, evaluations, direction of training, etc.)
Project management skills that provide leadership in team planning and goal setting.
Maintain a high level of knowledge of the systems, applications and technologies that are the responsibility of the team.
Provide on-call support outside of normal office hours as required.
Research and evaluate new systems, services, and technologies. Communicate with current and potential vendor partners.
Perform timely operating systems updates, upgrades, and modifications, working with vendor partners, as needed, to help achieve success.
Perform special systems programming and analysis functions as needed.
Learn workflows and processes of client departments to maintain an information systems view of campus to be able to recommend and design appropriate solutions.
Attend professional conferences, seminars, and training as approved.
