The Department of Oncology, Cancer Immunology Program, seeks a Research Technologist to work under the general supervision of a faculty investigator: Dr. Fyza Shaikh or laboratory supervisor. The laboratory team is interested in understanding how the microbiome impacts the success of immunotherapy treatments in cancer patients and how bacteria contribute to the immune response within a tumor. To this end, routine testing is performed on human samples (tissue, serum, stool), bacterial culture/isolates, and murine samples from both conventional and germ-free mice.
