The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The Research Program Manager will oversee ongoing federally funded research studies that support the health of sexual and gender minorities, globally, with particular emphasis in the country of Romania and Central and Eastern Europe. The Research Program Manager will take primary responsibility for day-to-day administrative management of the studies. The manager will responsible for steering project logistics including coordination of study team meetings, and guiding the progression of each study through all its milestones. Other responsibilities may implementation of data management, report writing, and research team and participant communication, and others, as needed.
Responsibilities
- Develops and oversees the implementation of timelines to monitor project workflow; maintains accurate records of follow-up procedures and activities for all ongoing administrative functions.
- Leads project team meetings and maintains timely communication with overseas teams.
- Responsible for programming and formatting project data collection tools. Oversees data downloads, entry, and management. Maintains REDCap and Qualtrics databases for the project.
- Facilitates project data collection through surveys, including sending links and following up with those who have not completed them.
- Conducts research-related contracting and purchasing. Creates, implements and manages contracts.
- Oversees the dissemination of research findings and results presentation with appropriate summary conclusions for the preparation of reports, manuscripts, presentations, and proposals.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications-
Bachelor???s degree and four (4) years additional related experience required. Master???s degree can be used to substitute for years of experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
Familiarity with SPSS, Qualtrics, REDCap and other digital research tools is required.
Most of the projects will take place in Romania, therefore an understanding of the culture is required.
Needs to be bilingual (fluent in both English and Romanian languages) in order to communicate daily with Romanian partners and research participants.
It is ideal that the manager has lived experiences within the LGBTQ+ culture of Romania.
Comfort with performing tasks at various levels of complexity is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge, experience and comfort in working with various types of collaborators is preferred, including academics, community-based partners, medical/healthcare cadre, and members of various minority groups, especially sexual and gender minorities.
