Business Automation Developer I: Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, business, or related field from an accredited institution with one-year relevant experience desirable, or two years of higher education with two years of related experience required. Strong understanding of software development concepts. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Familiarity with agile project management practices such as Scrum and Kanban. Passion to learn new technologies and a willingness to adapt to changing business requirements. A combination of education, experience, certifications, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions to streamline university business processes. Gather requirements, evaluate existing processes, design workflows, and build, test, and support robust solutions using low-code/no-code platforms. As a low-code practitioner, should have a strong understanding of software development principles and be familiar with one or more programming languages. Experience working with low-code platforms such as ProcessMaker or Microsoft Power Platform. Additionally, excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality solutions.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Business Automation Developer I: Analyzes existing business processes to identify areas for automation and improvement. Assists in the design, develop, test, and implement low to moderately complex automation solutions using a variety of technologies and platforms. Assist sin collaboration with business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure automation solutions meet their needs. Troubleshoots and resolves automation issues to ensure business continuity. Assists in guidance and support to business users on the use of automation solutions. Continuously evaluate and improve automation solutions to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. Responsible for developing and implementing basic automation solutions, under the guidance of more experienced Business Automation Developers. Stays informed of emerging trends and technologies in low-code/no-code development. May assist with user training. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Business Automation Developer II: Analyzes existing business processes to identify areas for moderate to complex automation and improvement. Designs, develops, tests, and implements moderately complex automation solutions using a variety of technologies and platforms. Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure automation solutions meet their needs. Troubleshoots and resolves automation issues to ensure business continuity. Provides guidance and support to business users on the use of automation solutions. Must be able to work independently on more complex projects. Continuously evaluate and improve automation solutions to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. Develops technical training materials and assist in the technical training of others. Stays informed of emerging trends and technologies in low-code/no-code development. responsible for mentoring and training junior Business Automation Developers. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Business Automation Developer III: Analyzes existing business processes to identify areas for automation and improvement. Leads in the design, develop, test, and implement highly complex automation solutions using a variety of technologies and platforms. Leads collaboration with business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure automation solutions meet their needs. Troubleshoots and resolves automation issues to ensure business continuity. Leads guidance and support to business users on the use of automation solutions. Continuously evaluate and improve automation solutions to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. Serves as a subject matter expert of low-code/no-code application platforms and processes, develop and maintain technical training materials, and lead training efforts for citizen developers and end users. Stays informed of emerging trends and technologies in low-code/no-code development. Responsible for leading large-scale automation projects, developing and implementing best practices, and providing guidance and mentorship to junior Business Automation Developers. Performs other related duties as assigned.
