Job DescriptionSCOPE OF POSITIONThe Cytogenetics Laboratory provides Fluorescent in situ Hybridization (FISH) and Chromosome analysis on inpatient and outpatient specimens received from the OSUMC and other local and state hospitals and physicians. The Cytogenetics Technologist position responsibilities include performing complete chromosomal analysis and/or FISH analysis using high resolution microscopes and a digital imaging system. These procedures are used to examine blood, bone marrow and solid tumor specimens for chromosomal changes.
