Job Overview
The Videographer supports online course development at the School of Continuing Studies in responsibilities that include but are not limited to:
Shoot footage and complete editing, including motion graphics and animation
Accomplish the bulk of the technical tasks related to production and post-production
Transport, set up, and operate equipment
Assist with staging, set preparation and dressing
Work Interactions
Reporting to the Director for Online Operations, the Videographer takes direction from instructional designers and subject matter experts, and works closely with graphic designers and faculty directors to execute video concept through to completion.
Given that their work is instrumental to the development of academically rigorous and high quality courses, the Videographer directly supports the mission and goals of SCS and Georgetown University.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Radio/TV, Film, Fine Arts or related area
5 years of experience operating video cameras and editing equipment
Knowledge of the entire Adobe Creative Cloud - with a particular expertise in After Effects, Premiere, and Photoshop
Ability to create tailored motion graphics and animation
An exceptional eye for graphic design
A solid understanding of various compression formats, 4K, and multi-format video recording workflow - and a basic understanding of audio and lighting techniques.
Ability to understand content and to use creativity to present educational content effectively
Strong research, audio editing skills and good communication skills
Excellent vision for editing that enhances videos' messages and improves the viewer experience
Excellent project management skills
