The Planner provides both long and short-term campus development studies, project feasibility studies, space programming, utilization analyses and facility assessments. Responsible for the development of scopes of work, budget estimates, and project schedules for proposed University building and landscape projects.
Job Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelorâ™s (or Masterâ™s) degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related field and 8-12 yearsâ™ experience in facilities or campus planning and/or architecture; or Masterâ™s degree in related field and 6-10 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Â
Experience in a University setting or a similarly large and diverse organization is preferred.Â
Significant experience developing project programs and cost estimates.Â
Proven experience with MS Office and AutoCAD and Google suite platforms.
Experience using project management tools to track milestones in the project lifecycle
Experience with Revit, In-Design and other graphic software preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.Â
Proven ability to handle and resolve issues with insight and diplomacy.
Working knowledge of technical building systems (e.g. envelope, structural, mechanical) and codes.
Space data visualization skills a plus.Â
Excellent written, verbal, collaboration and communication skills, to work with all levels of staff.
Demonstrated commitment and responsiveness to internal customer needs.
Possess a willingness and ability to support and promote a diverse and inclusive campus community.
