Ball State University’s Department of Construction Management and Interior Design and the R. Wayne Estopinal College of Architecture and Planning welcome applications for a full-time contract position available August 2023.
The Department of Construction Management is home to a vibrant and collegial work environment. The Construction Management program consists of eight full-time faculty and approximately 250 students. The program has been continuously ACCE accredited since 2012.

Duties and Responsibilities: - Teach 12 credit hours per semester in the area of construction management. - Develop new courses as needed and/or revise existing courses. - Participate in department, college and university service tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution with at least one degree in construction, interior design, architecture, engineering, or closely related field. Two years of experience in construction industry; OR: Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related area and the following will be considered.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience
Experience at the managerial/professional level.
Relevant professional licensure and certification(s) may include but are not limited to:
Registration as an Architect (RA), Professional Engineer (PE), or Interior Designer (NCIDQ).
Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Project Management Institute Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) or Certified Construction Professional (CPC).
Accreditation as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED-AP).
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with construction technology, construction software programs and construction documents and specifications. - Experience with construction project management and project control. - A record of successful teaching experience, as demonstrated through reappointment to teaching positions, student evaluations, peer evaluations and/or administrative evaluations. - Licensure and/or certification in engineering, architecture, interior design, LEED, safety, etc. - More than two years of experience in design and/or the construction industry. - Effective oral and written communication.
