Northeastern University's Marketing Department, part of the university's Office of External Affairs, seeks an experienced, versatile, creative Senior Copywriter to write sharp, sophisticated marketing content across a variety of platforms. You will be part of a team of brand storytellers, working closely with the design team and marketing strategists to develop various print and digital assets, campaign emails, website copy, presentations, newsletters, copy to support events, and messaging toolkits.
The position is located in Portland, Maine, at Northeastern's Roux Institute, which launched in January 2020 with a focus on graduate learning, research collaboration, entrepreneurship, and partnership to drive economic development in the region.
There's no single background that makes you the perfect candidate for the job. But first and foremost, you need to immerse yourself in the Roux brand and mission and translate that into compelling copy that speaks to our audiences across their journey.
This position is a fit for someone who loves words and design, and thrives thinking creatively about how to bring stories to life to captivate and inspire. You'll also need to be comfortable writing across channels-especially digital-and adapting to a range of tones and styles. The role also requires attention to detail and a deep curiosity about a range of subjects and the writing craft itself.
The position is based on the Portland campus with the option of one remote day per week.

Excellent people skills and a global-first, inclusive mindset are a must. Because Northeastern is a university with locations worldwide you'll need to be culturally aware, both in professional interactions and in the work you produce.
