Job Description:
This is a high impact position that will serve the enrollment needs of the University through recruitment and enrollment of undergraduate international students. The position will also support the overall recruitment and enrollment efforts of the undergraduate admission office by managing designated domestic territories.
Position Monthly Range: $5,373 - $6,340
Hiring salary can be above the posted pay range if candidate's qualifications are determined to be above the minimum requirements of the position description.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Assistant VP for Enrollment Management, create and execute a recruitment plan that will realize the University's international enrollment goals. Includes identifying and implementing new strategies
Oversees international communication flow, web pages and events
Manages designated domestic territories under the guidance of the Director of First-Year Recruitment & Enrollment
Proactively builds relationships with prospective undergraduate international students and serve as their primary point of contact during the admission process Respond to requests for information and provide counsel about application requirements, immigration visa requirements, academics and student life at MSMU, and living in Los Angeles
Serves as a Designated School Official (DSO) for F-1 visa program
Reviews undergraduate international applications including the evaluation of educational credentials to determine appropriate admission decisions
Recruit locally with national and international travel to be added in the future as appropriate
Develops and maintains relationships with English language programs, recruitment agents, and key influencers as appropriate to promote international student enrollment
Partners with PDSO to support timely completion of SEVIS and other US Department of Homeland Security requirements, including I-20s and all other documentation
Prepares, issues, and updates international student records related to enrollment, travel, and work eligibility through SEVIS along with PDSO
Assists in management of F-1 records for accurate reporting to SEVP
Represents MSMU at NAFSA and attend conferences and training as necessary
Supports Orientation programs as needed to ensure successful transition of admitted international students
Supports Assistant Vice President for Enrollment and Vice President for Enrollment Management in internal and external reporting of in admission data
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborates with various university departments to ensure a positive experience for international students
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of how to guide international students through the admission and enrollment process
Working knowledge of international markets and educational systems
Working knowledge of SEVIS process and regulations
Understanding and appreciation of the cultural differences and support needed for international students looking to study in the U.S.
Working knowledge of software applications, CRM and data analysis platforms currently used by the department. Slate experience preferred
Abilities and Skills:

Education:
Bachelor's Degree required.
Experience
Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in admissions and demonstrated success involving recruitment and management.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and student success as well as experience working with diverse communities.
Demonstrated safe driving record.
Licenses and Certifications:
Must possess a valid California Driver's license.
