Bryn Mawr College has an opening for an Associate Director, Web Strategy and Content.
THE POSITION
The Associate Director of Web Strategy and Content, a direct report to the Chief Communications Officer, has primary strategic responsibility for the Bryn Mawr College web presence, including all flagship website content and governance, ensuring timely development and maintenance updates, as well as meeting relevant website accessibility guidelines. This position leads the Bryn Mawr Digital Strategy Team, setting goals and strategy and managing/executing projects ranging from intake to reporting while ensuring all processes are well documented and that work assignments are clear. Incumbent has responsibility for all the strategic, technical, and tactical elements that will contribute towards a positive, user-centric web presence that enhances college communications, retention, engagement, fundraising and enrollment outcomes while developing and executing website strategy and long-term planning for the college’s web system.
We seek candidates with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of four years of relevant experience managing websites and developing and curating website content. Such experience should include project management, communications, and personnel management responsibilities. Candidates should have knowledge of best practices for analytics, search and search engine optimization; experience with creating visually appealing website content and an understanding of user-centered design (UX/UI). Strong experience using content management software (Drupal preferred), and experience with Google Analytics, HTML, WordPress, CSS, version control, responsive design, and familiarity with effectively presenting content on mobile devices. Familiarity with WCAG accessibility guidelines and how to attain compliance. Experience developing and implementing digital content strategies and managing content refreshes for complex web systems is helpful.
