Detailed Job Description Please note: This position requires willingness to travel and work on nights and weekends In coordination with the NTID Director of Alumni & Constituent Relations and the NTID Alumni Association Board of Directors, the Assistant Director for Alumni Mentoring, Outreach and Special Projects will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing the NTID Student-Alumni Mentoring program. This will include creating and updating mentor and mentee roles and responsibilities, recruiting and training mentors and mentees, ensuring the program parallels with NTID's Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, and keeping mentors and mentees fully engaged in the program. The Assistant Director will also submit annual reports detailing key achievements and areas for improvement of the Student-Alumni Mentoring Program.
The Assistant Director, in coordination with the NTID Director of Alumni & Constituent Relations and the NTID Alumni Association Board of Directors, will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing the NTID Alumni Ambassador program. This will include creating and updating Ambassador roles and responsibilities (i.e. reviving chapter programming, employer outreach, student recruitment, prospective student interviews and information sessions, etc.) recruiting and training Ambassadors, and ensuring Ambassadors are actively engaging appropriate constituents on behalf of NTID as well as supporting Diversity & Inclusion efforts. The Assistant Director will also submit annual reports detailing key achievements and areas for improvement of the Alumni Ambassador program.
The Assistant Director will work with NTID Office of External Affairs colleagues including the directors of the Dyer Arts Center, Theater Program, Development and Business Operations, and Morpheyes Studios; the Regional Representative Team; and the coordinators of the Athlete Development Program, Major Events and Conferences, and the RIT ASL and Deaf Studies Cultural Center to grow and maximize impact and reach of online event programming and initiatives. Target audiences for such programming will be alumni, parents, past parents, high schools, teachers of the deaf, Vocational Rehabilitation staff, and others involved in the secondary education of people who are deaf and hard-of-hearing.

Department/College Description The mission of the NTID Office of External Affairs is to provide institute leadership in high quality and coordinated engagement of alumni, parents, retirees, corporate partners, community organizations, partner not-for-profits and other organizations. Through its work, the office will (1) increase philanthropic support of the institute, (2) identify and grow revenue generating programs through contract work with corporations and other organizations, and (3) build a network of partners to increase nationwide visibility and assist NTID is realizing its enrollment, employment, constituent engagement and research goals.
