As part of the EDA-funded Heartland Robotics Cluster, the College of Engineering is leading research and instructional activities to develop the robotics workforce and research development in Nebraska. The Research Project Manager will support HRC leadership in organizing meetings, planning activities, tracking budgets, leading reporting functions to the sponsor, communicating with UNL staff and students and in-state partners, and providing administrative support for purchase of equipment and related activities.
Plan and schedule meetings. Supervise management of budgets in support of PIs. Develop and complete reporting functions to sponsor. Track progress towards completion of project goals and provide awareness of deviations. Coordinate with the sponsor as needed. Coordinate the work of HRC members and Pls on HRC projects to make sure they meet project plan deadlines. Ensure project reporting complies with sponsor requirements. Work with Pls to assist in bringing a transaction or activity into compliance with federal regulations. Review all reports and data from Pls and HRC projects to make sure the content and format of the documents are in compliance with HRC, institutional, and/or federal regulations.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or another field/discipline relevant to the area of specialization. Two (2) or more years of experience in post-award research administration and specialty knowledge/track record in research project management. Experience building and supervising teams. Ability to work independently and make decisions under general management direction. Excellent time management and organization skills. Skill using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. and ability to quickly learn other software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in business administration, financial or another field/discipline relevant to the area of specialization. Experience working in higher education in a high-volume, high-production, and/or sponsored research-intensive environment. Experience preparing and delivering training programs and shared resources and tools helpful. Designation of PMP, CRPA, CPFA, or CRA is desired.
