Overview
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Programs, the Program Administrator will oversee the operation of the Center for Data Science's undergraduate programs. The Program Administrator will be providing academic advising to data science undergraduate majors and minors as well as prospective majors, be responsible for overseeing the undergraduate community-building activities and organizations, and be actively engaged in planning and executing undergraduate career and professional development programs. In addition, the Program Administrator will support the Assistant Director with undergraduate program course scheduling, course registration, and graduation clearances. The Program Administrator will also be expected to interpret university policies and procedures, implement and monitor departmental compliance with those policies and procedures, and initiate programs and services in response to CDS and student needs. In conjunction with the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Programs, the Program Administrator will maintain undergraduate webpages, undergraduate program records and data, and undergraduate academic and student affairs communications.
Responsibilities
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs or a related field
Required Experience: 2+ years relevant experience; must have experience planning and administering activities and academic advising
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Exceptional event management and project management skills. Ability to solve problems and interact with individuals at all levels with utmost professionalism. High level of organizational skills with superb attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $58,500.00 to USD $95,000.00.
