Overview
Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Academic Appointments and to the Vice Provost of Educational Technology, the Senior Reporting Analyst will define, create, and implement standards of reporting on faculty data that meet operational, tactical, and strategic needs of the Provosts Office. Utilize knowledge of NYUs mission and business processes to create dashboards and reports with faculty data sourced from PeopleSync, Interfolio, Explorance Blue, and other faculty systems to support multiple stakeholders with decision making. Manage ad hoc reporting requests for multiple constituencies and deliver high quality products that enhance decision making processes. Conduct research projects, create reports, and present results and recommendations for improving data definitions, usage, integrity, and accuracy. Provide timely, courteous, and effective customer service and business support and develop communications to facilitate business solutions to complete system, reporting, and analytical data needs from initial inquiry through final resolution.
Responsibilities
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Required Experience: 5+ years experience with data collection, retrieval, and reporting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a multi-system environment plus experience with Tableau handling parallel projects, process documentation and adjusting priorities accordingly. Proven experience with data warehousing/relational databases, ETL tools and technology, reporting tools and project management
Preferred Experience: 1+ years Experience with SQL, Tableau, Hyperion, Oracle, and Alteryx. Will consider experience with other similar tools. 1+ years Experience in higher education.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to create data flow charts and diagrams; develop policies and procedures and the supporting documentation. Proven knowledge and application of business, process and data analysis. Strong analytical skills. Ability to creatively solve problems. Ability to collect/retrieve, merge, review, clean, organize, synthesize, validate and summarize data.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $120,000.00.
