Overview
NYU's Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity for a Director, Communications in the Undergraduate College. The Director, Communications will develop strategy for and manage internal and external communications for the Stern School of Business' Undergraduate College (UC) with a particular focus on full integration of communications across UC to achieve holistic, audience-centered, and customized communications. Audiences include, but are not limited to, prospective and current students, faculty, staff and alumni. Work closely with administrators and students to understand key motivators and develop best communications practices. Oversee the Undergraduate Collegeâ™s portfolio of traditional and digital tools, making sure that they meet the expectations and needs of the changing student landscape; continue to establish the Stern Undergraduate College as a leader in generational communications strategy. Launch and drive strategy on key digital tools, such as email marketing systems and digital asset management platforms. Create and implement digital, social and traditional communications and marketing plans. Create, implement and assess systems of excellence and best practices (e.g. involving UC staff and students) to optimize communications. Ensure all communications align with NYUâ™s, Sternâ™s and the College's organizational mission, working with all of our partners to build relationships and systems of excellence. Manage the production of key marketing pieces (e.g., brochures and invitations). Serve as UC subject-matter expert on communication strategy and practices.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree is preferred) and 7+ years relevant experience in marketing/communications or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience developing and managing web and social media strategies and content, as well as experience defining and implementing digital content strategies across various platforms. Experience managing, motivating and developing staff, and excellent verbal, writing, networking, presentation and project management skills are required. Expert understanding of web practices, social media technologies, and knowledge of standard office software is also required. Experience with email marketing platforms (i.e. MyEmma), LCD automation systems, and/or digital asset management systems, experience navigating a large, global organization, and the ability to influence without authority is preferred.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $85,000.00 to USD $135,000.00.
