Job Summary:
With a direct reporting relationship to the AVP UK HealthCare (UKHC) Human Resources, this position leads the UKHC HR Business Partner team and oversees major projects and initiatives for UKHC. This role will be the key liaison to the Employee Relations team that covers UKHC. This role will work closely with UKHC managers and directors as well as HR unit directors and managers to communicate and coordinate the unique HR support needs for UKHC; and provide leadership guidance and direction to HR Business Partner and Employee Relations team members.
This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted.
Skills /Knowledge/Abilities:
The ideal candidate must understand health care both operationally and financially and be able to speak to the business of health care; must also have significant professional knowledge in Human Resources; the ability to multi-task; solid time management, critical thinking and follow through; excellent project planning and organizational skills; leadership skills to include the ability to lead and direct others toward goal setting and attainment, taking into account divergent demands while managing scope and timelines; have exceptional communication skills (written & verbal); strong ability to engage and motivate others; collaboration, customer service, confidentiality, honesty, integrity, and active listening skills; enjoy working independently as well as in a group; and a thorough understanding of resource and employee management. Successful candidate must also have strategic thinking, change management, planning and organizing and effective project management skills.
