Unified Communications team within the Information Technology Division provides voice, video, and data services across the UCDH organization. The technology supported by the Unified Communications team includes phone systems (NEC PBX and Cisco VoIP), ACD, Voicemail, Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and Cisco Telepresence. The Unified Communications team supports a mission critical medical grade voice, video, and data network 247365. In response to the institutional requirements, the department provides technological leadership and support for the cost-effective use of computers, software and networking to include installation, training and problem resolution.

Responsibilities
This position reports to the Operations Manager within the Unified Communications team supporting Voice and Video technology across the UCDH organization. This position serves as the Video support engineer supporting Voice and Video technologies for UCDH. The Video support engineer will work with individuals within the IT division as well as others outside in providing technical solutions to meet the business requirements. In addition to providing solutions based on customer requirements, the Video support engineer will provide primary support for Voice technologies. Additional responsibilities may include working on new projects, assisting with projects to deploy voice, video and data networks to new buildings, assisting with general Unified Communications departmental projects, and on-call assignments.
The position is responsible for complex assignments that range significantly in size, and that require independence, decision making, project management, and excellent judgement. The incumbent will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of Video conferencing technologies. The candidate will ensure others within the organization are trained on new technologies.
Required Qualifications

Advanced level experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Audio/Video infrastructure (gatekeepers, gateways, multipoint control units, recording streaming servers, routers, and switches).
Advanced experience working with streaming Audio/Video
Advanced knowledge of experience supporting Cisco Audio/Video end points
Advanced knowledge of network protocols for voice and Audio/Video communications (e.g., H323, SIP, and SCCP)
Advanced level of experience in Telepresence and collaboration tools
Advanced experience working with Web Collaboration Tools
Experience maintaining Cisco CUCM and Cisco Unity applications and related hardware in a Health Care environment
Experience maintaining Cisco (Unity) Voice Messaging and Auto Attendant system applications and related hardware in a Health Care environment
Experience maintaining Cisco VoIP Gateways and related hardware in a Health Care environment
Experience gathering customer requirements to provide technical recommendations and solutions to meet Video technology needs
Experience maintaining the integration between CUCM and Unity Voice mail system
Experience working with VoIP Voice hardware and application
Experience with of various network hardware platforms, network related protocols and software including understanding of OSI layer.
Experience and problem-solving skills to quickly assess problems, evaluate options, good decision maker and problem solver
Experience and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Must have demonstrated capacity for analytical thinking and rapid problem solving in a fast-paced environment; must possess a high degree of self-motivation, be resourceful, detail oriented and have good organization skills; excellent written and interpersonal skills
Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be an effective verbal and written communicator in person, by phone, or Audio/Video
Preferred Qualifications
Cisco Certifications in related technologies and or 5 or more years of technical experience working with related technologies
Working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, and Desktop operating systems.
Experience with desktop and server systems administration
Experience implementing and maintaining a large Cisco Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Unified Communications management system
Experience using problem-solving skills and techniques to resolve unique issues and problems
Experience gathering, organizing and analyze data in the completion of a variety of functional assignments
Experience in communicating technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization
Experienced in interpreting manuals to configure hardware or identify the source of a problem and take corrective action
Experience work independently and generate innovative solutions to problems
Skills and experience needed to understand implications of work on other areas
Experience managing large projects and meeting critical deadlines
Self-motivated person who can work independently and as part of a team
Experience in documenting technical systems, procedures and developing work plans
