The Coordinator for Student Engagement reports directly to the Assistant Director of Student Engagement & Leadership. The Coordinator for Student Engagement will work with the Director and Assistant Director of Student Engagement as well as other campus partners to foster a campus environment that is vibrant and engaging, meets diverse student needs, offers opportunities for engagement. The coordinator facilitates the campus recreation program, including coordinating the Goucher Moves exercise program, oversight of the club sport program, and managing intramural opportunities. The Coordinator will also coordinate and implement programming in the Gopher Hole, including staffing and reservations. The Coordinator will serve as the social media coordinator for OSE and will be responsible for all advertising for office and SET events. Coordinator will aid in the coordination of campus-wide tradition events, including, but not limited to Move-In, Fall Orientation, Get Into Goucher (GIG), Blue & Gold Weekend, Parents & Family Weekend, and Student Leadership Awards.

Education:
Required: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred: Master's Degree
Professional Experience:
Required: 1 year of post-bachelor's experience in campus recreation, campus programming, or student activities
Preferred: 2 years of experience in campus recreation, campus programming, student activities
Computer Skills:
Competency in computer programs, such as word processing and spreadsheets.
Overall comfort in using technology and social media.
Other Skills, Abilities, Qualifications:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, basic math skills.
Professional telephone etiquette.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work under time pressure.
Ability to manage multiple simultaneously and with frequent interruption.
Diplomacy and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.

A willingness to work irregular hours, including coverage for many evening and weekend programs.
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $40,684.90 - $47,881.60
