Job Description:
At Regions, the Information Security Governance Manager is responsible for ensuring the Information Security Governance team in identification, evaluation, and prioritization of cyber security risks for Regions.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintains a current knowledge of information security, technology trends, security best practices, and regulatory guidance and applies that knowledge to policies, standards, and practices within the enterprise
Oversees Information Security Standards program to ensure effective standards are maintained to align with the Bank's security objectives and risk appetite, including management reporting and trend analysis
Manages the Enterprise Security Awareness program, including LMS course content management, phishing assessment oversite, MAC compliance for associates and contractors, and annual cybersecurity awareness event coordination
Manages the compliance auditing process and the resultant reporting, remediation, and follow-up activities associated with it
Works closely with second line partners to validate effectiveness of governance program activities
Supports the Enterprise Third-Party Risk Management Program as the subject matter expert (SME) for Information Security, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery, preparing risk assessments and on-site reviews for vendor engagements
Works closely with the Security Architecture Team, Technology Relationship Management, and Project Management offices providing support and guidance for new technologies and projects
Acts as, or manages, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Security Officer performing security assessments and reviews for in-scope functions and products
Provides leadership and guidance to a staff of Analysts and Engineers and liaises on compliance matters with other functional areas in IT and in the business groups on compliance related matters
May evaluate the impact of regulatory changes on compliance policies and procedures and may report periodically to business leadership on progress against security goals
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
This is a single incumbent position.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related degree in technology or business
Seven (7) years of related experience including leadership and management experience
Certifications/Licensures
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification
Preferences
Willingness to have flexible work schedule/location
Ability to travel on a regular basis as needed
Skills and Competencies
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and business partners
Ability to supervise and manage a team
Advanced analytical/problem solving capabilities
Strong knowledge in broad aspects of technology including workstations, servers, web application security, database management, active directory, networking, firewall, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) , etc.
Strong research skills with ability to analyze data and create professional reports
