The Washington University School of Medicine Operations & Facilities Management Department provides a range of services for the medical campus in a customer-focused, efficient, and sustainable manner. Operations & Facilities Management maintains 61 university buildings and provides operational, planning, and construction services to over 8.3 million gross square feet of space. We will open three new facilities between 2023 and 2025 with over 1.5M BGSF. In addition, the School of Medicine continues expanding its reach on and off campus in teaching, clinical care, and research. Our team plays a vital and important role in delivering care, research, and services.
This position is responsible for providing administrative support for assigned programs and projects and coordinating office functions for the Director and Assistant Director of the Washington University School of Medicineâ™s (WUSM) Operations and Facilities Management Department(OFMD).
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day operational coordination to the Facilities Engineering programs and projects. Assist with program logistics including budget management and communications.
Provide administrative support for assigned OFMD programs/projects. Support committees and associated work groups.
Assist with the development and implementation of new OFMD programs related to preventative maintenance and renewal.
Assist with the management of administrative calendars, schedules meetings, and prepares documents for the Director and Assistant Director of WUSM OFMD.
Assist with process development, staffing, and administrative correspondence.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience working in an administrative capacity for facilities maintenance groups in the areas of healthcare and/or higher education.
Bachelorâ™s in Business Administration or Related Field.
Proficient with MS Office.
Highly self-directed and independent worker.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to choose the best organizational process or work flow for a given context and application.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and program/project management skills.
Enthusiasm and ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple functions, audiences, and priorities.
High school diploma or equivalent high school certification and three years relevant experience.
$20.15 - $31.26 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
