A hands-on manager who will provide technological leadership to include research, planning and adopting emerging computing and communication technologies in support of Nebraska Public Media, a state-of-the-art telecommunications facility serving Nebraska.
Responsibilities include oversight of hardware, software and infrastructure; development and execution of policies, budget, and strategy; planning and implementation of IT projects; and contract management.
Manages team that is responsible for implementing and supporting various platforms including but not limited to Windows and Linux servers, LAN/WAN, VPN, TCP/IP, VMware and Hyper-V virtualization, Avid editing systems, broadcast and OTT distribution and storage related networking needs, Network Security, Remote and Cloud-based applications, backups and disaster recovery planning.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications and work experience. Five (5) years' experience project management, team building & management, IT planning, business continuity & disaster recovery planning & policies & procedures, market research & analysis, high level infrastructure design & implementation, costing & budgeting, technology scouting & standardization. Three (3) years technical management and staff supervision.
Experience with Windows based servers and operating systems, applications, Mac and Linux. Routers, switchers, Cisco firewall, wireless, LAN/WAN, VPN, and Networked storages. Active Directory, VMware, Cyber security, cloud based applications and services such as Office 365.
Experience with ERP deployment.
Ability to install VMware ESXi and Hyper-V host clusters on bare metal and configure networking and storage. Ability to effectively communicate with end users at all levels of the corporate structure including executives, senior staff, technical and non-technical personnel. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Project management and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidate will have experience with Broadcasting and IP Technologies. Working experience with Online and OTT services. Certification in: MCP, MCSA, MCSE, CCENT, CCNA, PMP, CAPM, ITIL
