General Description:
Works collaboratively with the faculty, staff, and students of the College in the production of course materials suitable for distribution via electronic, digital, and virtual mediums. Supports online course delivery and online students. Provides technical support for faculty using educational technology tools in the classroom. Collects, analyzes, and distributes data.
Characteristics, Duties and Responsibilities:
· Deploys specific projects/tasks to meet the needs of faculty and students pertaining to course materials suitable for distribution via electronic, digital, and virtual mediums.
· Supports technology platforms used by students enrolled in online, hybrid, and traditional courses.
· Assists in the development of course materials that are functional, intuitive, and simple while being informative and interactive.
· Produces learning materials in a variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video, animation and multimedia to support teaching, learning, and college information needs.
· Responsible for online course development.
· Project manager in the preparation of schedules outlining the essential steps to be taken.
· Provides assistance and training to faculty in technology tools and methods, uses of instructional software, and effective uses of multimedia.
· Provides training for the ethical use of electronic, digital, and virtual content in online, hybrid, and traditional course formats.
· Conducts group, one-on-one, and online instruction for faculty on the use of educational technology tools and the Learning Management System.
· Assists with creating learning objects for use on desktop platforms and mobile devices.
· Supports mobile and desktop platforms for both PC and Mac.
· Assists in the production of standard and ad-hoc reporting by collecting, analyzing, and distributing data.
· Assists in researching, developing and documenting procedures, online course operations, and technology policies.
· Attends College meetings as assigned.
· Attends College events and participates in a team environment.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required.
Experience:
· Previous experience preferred in educational technology, education, educational programming, or academic technology.
· Previous experience in online course design and programming desirable.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
· This position's duties are normally performed in a typical interior/residence work environment, based on the activity scheduled.
· Some physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
· No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
· Some travel required.
