As our busy privately owned 10 doctor hospital undergoes a major expansion, we are recruiting a General Practice Medical Coordinator and an Urgent Care Medical Coordinator to help mold the future direction of the respective service and assist with creation of protocols, work flow, and mentoring of new graduates.
Our hospital is in the process of expanding to add additional exam rooms, state of the art surgical suites, separate dog/cat exam treatment rooms and waiting rooms, an onsite Antech STAT laboratory, and a dedicated office/meeting space. We are located right outside Philadelphia. Training and onboarding into a leadership role is available to help someone transition from strictly clinical veterinarian to a hybrid role working partly in management and partly in a clinical capacity. Our hospital culture enables our general practice veterinarians to enjoy the benefit of working alongside an urgent care veterinarian which prevents double/over booking of appointment slots, but it accommodates clients when they need to get in. Our urgent care veterinarian starts the day with no pre-scheduled appointments and will see walk-ins and same day sick visits.
Although performing surgery is not a requirement of the position, our practice performs a lot of surgery, and so there is the ability to perform many surgeries or to learn more advanced surgical techniques. Because our team is very collaborative and works well together, it is also easy to pair a veterinarian without an interest in surgery with someone that is interested in surgery to ensure that we have appropriate coverage.
Full or part time considered. Flexible hours and excellent work-life balance.
We offer the highest level of veterinary care including wellness and sick visits, urgent care, surgery, dentistry, and grooming. Our hospital offers scheduled appointments and urgent care visits 7 days a week and is open 8a-8p Monday-Friday and 8a-2p Saturday & Sunday.
We have an excellent, highly trained team of technicians and CSRs which a very high support staff to doctor ratio to enable our clinicians to work efficiently. Our hospital culture offers an opportunity to be a part of a growing practice and we welcome new ideas and suggestions on ways we can improve. We have regular staff meetings to help discuss how things are going and what we could change or do better. Our team is comprised of staff from a variety of backgrounds so we enjoy hearing about what the staff has experience in and finding things we can utilize in our practice. We recently renovated the building and upgrades include a digital dental x-ray, new lab equipment, a fully stocked pharmacy, digital radiographs, oxygen cage, new anesthesia monitoring equipment, and ultrasound.
Our hospital is close to Philadelphia and the area offers fine dining, theaters, museums, and shopping. We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and outgoing Veterinarian to continue to help us grow our client base.
Working at Pennsauken Animal Hospital is an amazing opportunity to expand your medical and surgical skills via a wide variety of caseloads. If you are the right candidate, you will receive competitive wages and flexible hours. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, disability, and professional liability insurance. Our staff also received additional benefits including:
Uniform Allowance
Veterinary services at a reduced rate
CE Allowance
Professional membership allowance
