Department Purpose
CalFresh is a federally funded program, formerly known as Food Stamps and nationally known as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). The CalFresh Coordinator works independently to provide information and interpretation of clearly defined SNAP federal and local policies, procedures and regulations.
Job Summary
Under general supervision of the Food Programs Supervisor of the Aggie Compass Basic Needs (ACBN) Center, the CalFresh Coordinator oversees implementation of the CalFresh Outreach Contract. This position is responsible for developing, streamlining, and maintaining all aspects of the CalFresh program processes and connections between the Aggie Compass Basic Needs Center (ACBN) and associated counties, reporting statistical information, and directly supervising the work of student interns.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education/Experience:
Demonstrated experience with project management, including development and coordination of plans, communication, collaboration, budget, and time management.
Bachelor's degree and five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) :
Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information; collect and research data and design workflow and procedures with excellent analytical skills.
Ability to read, interpret, and write professional reports and correspondence.
Knowledge of University processes and procedures.
Capable of professionally managing confidential information
Ability to multi-task, verbal communication, written communication and organization skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education/Experience:
Experience working in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) formerly known as Food Stamps and known in California as CalFresh or other state or federal assistance program.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
