Responsibilities Writing samples may be requested for use in the screening process; assessment of writing skills may be included as part of the interviewing process. The Project Policy Analyst (PPA 1) performs a variety of roles on projects including the evaluation of the University of California's (UC) Equity in Mental Health Funding Plan, the development of a brief screening tool for psychosis spectrum disorders, and the evaluation of a substance use disorder program integrated into primary care services. Performs a range of duties, including assisting the PI in securing the necessary agreements to receive health data from the UCs, performing basic data cleaning and preparation, co-facilitating focus groups, performing basic data cleaning and preparation, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, writing and distributing minutes, assisting with the authorship of reports, deliverables, and manuscripts.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree OR Associates degree OR at least 2 years of demonstrated experience working in a project coordination administrative role
Demonstrated experience with project coordination, including monitoring progress toward deadlines and ensuring goals are met.
Writing skills to initiate, compose, word process, format, proofread and edit various professional documents and correspondences for distribution to a variety of audiences.
Demonstrated ability and experience with managing calendars and schedules and coordinating meetings, events, and logistics. Knowledge and experience with online meeting platforms, such as Zoom, Skype, or Microsoft Teams.
Knowledge and demonstrated experience with various software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, draw.io, and Planner (or other relevant project management software) in a professional setting
Preferred Qualifications
Experience conducting semi-structured interviews or focus groups, in either a clinical or research setting
Experience and working knowledge of mental health practice, research, science, and programs related to UC Davis
Familiarity with statistical packages such a SPSS, SAS, R, or STATA
Special Requirements This position may be subject to a criminal background investigation, drug screen, Live Scan fingerprinting, medical evaluation clearance, and functional capacity assessment.
