Job Description:
The System Analyst position on the Northwestern University Information Technology ESAF Alumni team offers the candidate a highly collaborative and motivated work environment, providing opportunities to develop and practice functional and technical skills while appreciating a hybrid work schedule that aims to improve work-life balance and offer more efficient and productive use of time.
The successful candidate for the System Analyst position will not only be responsible for leading projects that vary in size, resources, and complexity but must be able to handle multiple tasks, project work, and issue resolution support concurrently. Other duties and/or responsibilities that the candidate of choice will undertake regularly include:
Gathering, analyzing and documentation of customer requirements
Evaluating current business practices and strategies to identify opportunities for improvement
Leading client engagement, planning and facilitating application functional and user testing efforts
Using critical thinking to solve support issues and provide feedback/ recommendations to customers and senior leaders
Partnering with functional and technical staff to determine best approaches, ensuring that approved solutions are implemented in a timely and correct fashion.
Formulating and executing test scripts, implementation of project plans, rolls out communications and training materials as required
Leading and managing small to medium sized project independently
Minimum Qualifications:
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in a major such as computer science, information technology, or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
2 years functional/business/system analysis or other relevant experience required.
Preferred Qualifications but not mandatory:
Knowledge and experience with Ellucian advance a plus but not required
Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus but not required
Knowledge of higher education or public sector business processes for an alumni business unit
