Job Summary
With limited direction, the executive project policy analyst uses advanced operational concepts to provide direct executive management, problem solving, and analysis of unique and complex issues in support of the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs [VCSA]. The incumbent will exercise sound judgment in supporting the VCSA's priorities, including communicating and making high level contacts with key stakeholders such as senior level officers, the Office of the President, faculty, departmental staff, administrators, donors, students and others. The executive project policy analyst will provide high level scheduling support and calendar management for the VCSA, executing sound judgment and precise attention to the detail. The executive project analyst will research and collect relevant information and materials to ensure the VCSA is briefed, prepared, and will initiate follow up actions, including developing and coordinating policy or program communications and developing new systems, policies and processes. Incumbent must be able to maintain confidentiality and discretion in all areas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related area and /or equivalent experience / training.
Writing, editing and proofreading experience to produce correspondence, drafts, and presentation materials in accurate and attractive format.
Experience managing dynamic electronic calendars, and scheduling and coordinating large, complex meetings and special events while maintaining a high degree of discretion, integrity, and sensitivity to confidentiality and privacy.
Skills to work collaboratively and communicate orally and in writing with diverse groups.
Political acumen and collegial communication skills to interact with faculty, staff, students, the public, and persons at all levels of the hierarchy (nationally and internationally) with varying levels of expertise, interest, and personal investment in the activities of the VCSA.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education/Experience:
Advanced experience achieving goals through collaboration and teambuilding, working cooperatively with peers, employees, and faculty and with a diverse group of campus constituencies
Advanced extensive experience with analyzing transactional information in large, complex data sets. Advanced project management skills.
Advanced experience soliciting constructive input from and developing eventual consensus among groups and constituencies with differing priorities and perspectives; strong background in facilitating and cultivating collaborations among campus groups and departments.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to clearly and effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals to secure and/or provide information to clarify situations, resolve problems, and negotiate services and/or agreements.
Advanced knowledge of and skills to interpret and apply UC Policies and procedures.
Exercise discretion in dealing with controversial or potentially sensitive topics and represent the Vice Chancellor's office with tact and discretion.
